January 23, 2024 – Sacramento, CA –  Known for its innovative orchestral reimaginings of “The Legend of Zelda” series, ZREO: Second Quest proudly announces “Scoring Sessions,” a new music series recorded with a live studio orchestra. This series will bring fans closer to the music they love through full-performance videos and high-quality audio recordings.

“Midna”

The series begins with an iconic piece from “Twilight Symphony,” arranged by Tim Stoney and orchestrated by Ari Barack Fisher. “Midna” encapsulates the journey of the beloved character from a mysterious guide to the noble Twilight Princess. This new rendition is brought to life by an 80-piece orchestra and choir, featuring a captivating duo between Amy Turk on harp and Tim de Man on piano.

About “Scoring Sessions”

ZREO: Second Quest is taking a unique approach by involving its supporters in the project’s development. Fans will have the opportunity to vote for one of two proposed songs through donations and purchases on Bandcamp, playing a pivotal role in sustaining the “Scoring Sessions” series. The first song to reach its target will be recorded next, while the other remains open for donations ensuring its eventual realization. Additionally, supporters get to vote on future pieces to be recorded, with each song having a set funding goal.

To acknowledge the community’s support, donors will receive a variety of rewards, celebrating their contribution to this groundbreaking series. For more details on how to participate and the rewards involved, visit https://zreosq.com/scoring-sessions.

With the first session already funded by ZREO: Second Quest as a testament to their commitment, the project invites listeners to actively shape its future. Samuel Ferrara, founder of Zelda Reorchestrated, shares, “Scoring Sessions isn’t just about creating music; it’s about cultivating a community around “The Legend of Zelda’s” legacy. We’re inviting fans into the concert hall, uniting them in a shared passion for this franchise’s music, and offering an unprecedented collective experience.”

Highest Dynamic Range Edition

With “Scoring Sessions,” ZREO: Second Quest unveils the “Highest Dynamic Range” (HDR) edition, exclusive to Bandcamp in WAV and FLAC formats. Diverging from Dolby Atmos or surround sound, the HDR Edition is dedicated to presenting audio in its purest, unmodified form. This edition caters to audiophiles seeking the ultimate essence of studio recordings. It meticulously maintains the original dynamic range of the orchestra, from the subtlest nuances to the most powerful crescendos, offering an antidote to the pervasive “loudness wars.”

This release format embodies ZREO: Second Quest’s commitment to authenticity and superior musical quality. It represents a concerted effort to not only recreate but to elevate the music of “The Legend of Zelda” series. All purchases of the HDR edition will go towards funding the next two arrangements in a 50/50 split, minus fees.
